Godzilla 2 will be released in 2014

Journalists from The Hollywood Reporter informs us that Britain's Gareth Edwards was hired by the representatives of production companies Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures. to write and direct the new movie "Godzilla", which will be produced by Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Lin Dan, Lee Roy and Brian Rogers.

Legendary Pictures has won the rights to the project in question in March of 2010 by buying them from Japanese company Toho Co. production.
